United Way of Southwestern Indiana operates a 2-1-1 Center.

2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember telephone number that impacts communities by connecting people with important services and volunteer opportunities. 2-1-1 makes it possible for people in need to navigate the complex and ever-changing maze of human services.

Our mission is to link individuals in need of social services with the appropriate service providers in the community.

If you need help and live in Crawford, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh or Warrick Counties, call 2-1-1, 1-800-639-9271 or 812-421-2800.

Housing- Shelter –Food- Legal Aid –Clothing- Education -Counseling -Utility Assistance- Health Care and many more services

Where is 2-1-1 available?

United Way of Southwestern Indiana’s 2-1-1 Center serves 10 counties: Crawford, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick. Currently, 100% of all Hoosiers are covered by 2-1-1 services.

Why 2-1-1?

2-1-1 is easy to use and helps track trends and gaps in social services within the community. 2-1-1 is vital in disaster relief and connecting individuals to social service agencies. Our mission is to link individuals in need of social services with the appropriate service providers in the community.

Who funds United Way 2-1-1?

United Way 2-1-1 is funded by United Way of Southwestern Indiana, United Way of Perry County and United Way of Posey County.

If you need help call 2-1-1, 1-800-639-9271, or 812-421-2800 and a trained Information and Referral Specialist will be happy to assist you!

*Some organizations will need to remove any internal phone system blocks to use 2-1-1.
