Volunteer Spotlight: Serita Cabell

This National Volunteer Week, we are taking a moment to highlight a few of the caring and talented volunteers who give selflessly to create a stronger community. Their drive and dedication serves as an inspiration to those they impact, as well as those who can follow their example. We asked what drives them to volunteer for United Way, and the importance of sharing their talent.

“I feel it is important to serve United Way with my time and talent because I’ve been in the shoes of those served by United Way. I know how important it is, not just for program participants, but sometimes for employees that work for organizations that receive funding from United Way. The world has plenty of people who want to make a difference in their communities… United Way is a piece of the puzzle that helps people and organizations do that.”

MORNING FLIGHT GOLFERS: We are still on for this morning. The ECC and UWSWI staff will monitor the weather for lightning and will make a call as soon as possible. We may have a delay.
