Day of Caring

United Way’s annual Day of Caring is the largest one day community-wide volunteer event in our community.

The 2017 Day of Caring  took place on Friday, September 8.

This year, the 24th Annual Day of Caring connected a record number of volunteers – more than 1,200 – with 60 local nonprofit organizations to help complete much needed projects.  Volunteer work included a variety of activities including painting, gardening, landscaping, cleaning walking trails, assisting in classroom settings, assembling food backpacks, and much more.

We started off the day with a volunteer breakfast program at the Old National Events Plaza. After the breakfast, volunteers went to their assigned agency locations.   THANK YOU to all of our 2017 Day of Caring sponsors and volunteers for making our community a better place!
